"Spring Can Really Hang You Up The Most" was written by Fran Landsman & Tommy Wolf for the play "The Nervous Set" in 1959. The play, being too avant-garde for Broadway, closed after four days but two great tunes emerged from it, one being the above while the other was "Ballad Of The Sad Young Men. "Both were recorded by various jazz musicians. The cultural zeitgeist toward homosexuality had progressed so by 2004, the play was reborn.

Recorded in Wayne's living room March 4, 2016 on a Tascam D-40, the audio is to the right.

The players:

Mesa Schubeck, piano & vocal
Don Fishel, flute
Doug Frame, drums
Wayne Renardson, fretless bass
