Six String Jazz- Night And Day.mp3

Night and day, you are the one
Only you beneath the moon
Under the sun

Whether near to me or far
It's no matter, darlin', where you are
I think of you night and day

Night and day, why's it so
That this longing for you
Follows wherever I go

In the roaring traffic's boom
In the silence of my lonely room
I think of you night and day

Night and day, under the hide of me
There's an, ooh, such a hungry yearning
Burning inside of me

And this torment won't be through
Till you let me spend my life making love to you
Day and night, night and day

I know. Another love song.

The 1934 musical 'The Gay Divorcee' introduced Cole Porter's "Night And Day," to an American audience where it became a signature song for Fred Astaire. Sinatra recorded it 5 times. It's all about love on a 24 hour cycle.

Highly recommended is the Kevin Kline portrayal of Cole Porter in Hollywood's 2004 "De'Lovely." Featuring Ashley Judd as Porter's wife, the movie covers many of Porter's sublime tunes, avoiding the cliche of chronological order.

Yesterday the trio gave it a go. Check it out above:
