Six String Jazz

Back when Don Fishel was playing jazz with the quartet he decided to arrange a well known Bach piece from his orchestral suite #3.

Known as 'Air On The G String', the piece is often selected by brides or couples for their pending wedding. A favorite of classical guitarists for its gorgeous melody and phrasing, some jazz trios and quartets have found joy in the piece.

We delved into the music under Don's leadership and followed his soulful playing of this masterpiece, trying out best not to mangle it.
