Six String Jazz- Spring Can Really Hang You Up.mp3

"Spring Can Really Hang You Up The Most" was written in 1955 by Fran Landsman (lyrics) & Tommy Wolfe and later incorporated into the musical "The Nervous Set." Dealing with 'The love that dare not speak its name' and the  ' Beat Generation' it proved too controversial for many fifties New Yorkers so closed after a week. The New York World-Telegram & Sun called it "weird"

Two songs from the musical outlasted the production. The "Ballad Of The Sad Young Men" and the above, both of which have been covered by many jazz musicians..

Players:

Dave Ghazarian, piano
Don Fishel, flute
Doug Frame, drums
Wayne Renardson, fretless bass
